Club Atlético Vélez Sarsfield has confirmed the return of Lucas Robertone, who will leave Unión Deportiva Almería after five and a half seasons. The Argentine midfielder will join his hometown club on an 18-month loan with a compulsory purchase option. Robertone arrived in Almería a decade ago in his European football debut and became one of the team's top players in the top division. However, the course of events led him to be one of the team's summer departures. Despite forcing his exit, the club did not find a destination for Robertone, who remained in the first team's dynamics but without relevant minutes. He only participated in the two Copa del Rey matches and, due to the plague of injuries, made his league debut in the last match played at the Estadio de los Juegos Mediterráneos against Granada (3-2). A match with a farewell aroma as, at the end of the match, he approached the Grada Joven sector to give away his jersey and receive a warm ovation. After several days of negotiations, the sports management agreed on the loan with compulsory purchase with Vélez Sarsfield. It will be the return of the Argentine to his hometown club. The loan will be for 18 months and the amount to be paid by 'El Fortín' will be 2.5 million euros.
